Dental Treatments In Cardiff.

At West Grove Dental, we provide a comprehensive range of dental treatments in Cardiff, from routine examinations and preventive care to cosmetic dentistry, dental implants and oral surgery. Our experienced team provides personalised care for patients of all ages, whether you are maintaining your oral health, experiencing a dental problem or considering treatment to improve your smile.

Based in Roath, Cardiff, we welcome new and existing patients from across Cardiff and beyond. With experienced clinicians, in-house oral surgery and sedation, dental hygiene and a wide range of general and cosmetic treatments available under one roof, we can support you through every stage of your dental care.

Routine Dentistry.

Regular dental care can help maintain healthy teeth and gums and identify potential problems at an early stage.

Our routine dentistry includes dental examinations, fillings, root canal treatment, family dental care and support when you have an urgent dental problem.

Routine Dentistry

Hygiene.

Professional hygiene appointments help remove plaque, tartar and staining that cannot always be removed through brushing alone.

Our hygienists provide preventive care to help maintain healthy gums, teeth and dental implants, with direct access hygiene appointments also available.

Hygiene

Cosmetic Dentistry.

If you would like to improve your smile, we offer a range of cosmetic dental treatments tailored to your individual needs.

Options include teeth whitening, veneers, composite bonding, Invisalign, crowns and other treatments designed to improve the appearance of your teeth while considering your overall dental health.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Dental Implants.

Dental implants provide a long-term option for replacing one or more missing teeth and can also be used to support bridges or dentures.

Implant treatment is available at West Grove Dental with the expertise of our in-house oral and implant surgeon, allowing surgical care to be provided within our Cardiff practice.

Dental Implants

Invisalign & Clear Aligners.

Clear aligners provide a discreet way to straighten teeth without traditional fixed braces.

Following an assessment, we can determine whether aligner treatment is suitable for you and create an individual treatment plan to gradually improve the position of your teeth.

Invisalign

IV Sedation.

Dental anxiety should not prevent you from accessing the care you need.

We offer IV sedation in-house for suitable patients who feel particularly nervous or anxious about dental treatment, helping make appointments feel more manageable and comfortable.

Sedation

Composite Bonding.

Composite bonding can improve concerns such as chipped teeth, small gaps, uneven edges and areas of discolouration. Tooth-coloured composite material is carefully applied and shaped to make subtle or more noticeable improvements to your smile, depending on your individual needs.

Composite Bonding

Wisdom Teeth & Oral Surgery .

If you are experiencing pain, swelling or problems with an impacted wisdom tooth, we provide wisdom tooth assessment and removal in Cardiff. Our in-house Specialist in Oral Surgery can assess troublesome or impacted wisdom teeth and, where appropriate, carry out surgical wisdom tooth removal within the practice.

We also accept referrals for wisdom tooth removal and oral surgery, providing patients with access to specialist care within our Cardiff practice. Having this expertise available in-house means many patients can receive their assessment and treatment at West Grove Dental without needing referral to a hospital setting.

Wisdom Teeth

Facial Aesthetics.

Alongside our dental treatments, we also provide facial aesthetic treatments following an individual consultation. Treatment is carefully planned according to your concerns, desired outcome and suitability.

Frequently Asked Questions.

  • 1.Can I book a dental appointment if I am not registered with you?

Yes. We welcome new private patients at West Grove Dental, whether you are looking for ongoing dental care or would like to discuss a particular concern or treatment. You do not need to have previously attended the practice to get in touch.

  • 2. Can I see a dentist in Cardiff for an urgent dental problem?

Yes. We offer private emergency dental appointments for both existing and non-registered patients, subject to availability. If you have dental pain, swelling, a broken tooth or another urgent concern, contact our team and we will advise you on the next steps.

  • 3. Do you offer appointments for children and families?

Yes. We welcome patients of all ages and provide dental care for the whole family. Regular appointments from a young age can help children become familiar with visiting the dentist while allowing us to monitor their teeth and oral health as they develop. Children of paying parents have free check ups.

  • 4. Do I need a dentist appointment before seeing a dental hygienist?

Not always. Direct Access means you can book a dental hygiene appointment without seeing one of our dentists first. However, a hygiene appointment does not replace a dental examination, and if your hygienist identifies something that requires assessment, they may recommend that you see a dentist.

  • 5. Do you offer payment options for dental treatment?

Yes. We offer different ways to manage the cost of dental care, including a monthly dental plan for routine care and finance options for eligible treatments. Our team can explain the available options and any applicable terms before you decide to proceed.
